Today was a glorious day in LA. I drove to Downey, which is 20 miles S of DTLA to visit a Y. Windows rolled down, stereo turned it, sunglasses on made it a great little trip to the middle of nowhere. A few hours later, I grabbed my bike, threw on my trusty capri sweats and headed to the Culver City Farmer's Market to pick up my weekly stock of fruits and veggies. $20 later, I scored strawberries, raspberries, radishes, carrots, lettuce, cilantro, hummus, and pita. All organic and all local.
I then walked a few blocks N of my place to pick up dinner at Thai Boom.
God, I love my neighborhood.
